About

Hello!

I'm George, a Senior Platform Engineer working on developer experience at a SaaS company, a few years into making other engineers' lives less annoying: better CI/CD, Ephemeral Virtual Development Environments, a platform developers like to use and extend themselves. Even transforming our engineering department to be 'agent ready'. I hold Linux Admin and CKA certs, and currently working on my CKS and the AWS Solutions Architect Associate. I really enjoy learning the nitty-gritty of how things are working, I also like to write and teach.

This blog is called Down The Ra-bit Hole simply because I had this idea of a steampunk-style-alice-in-wonderland-mix visuals to go with my posts. The content is from my own experiences professionally and during my personal tinkering time. If you want to see what this blog's about, How a Process Really Works is a decent place to start.

Outside of work I'm usually doing one of three things: making a slow, unreasonably fussy and expensive coffee, tinkering with my homelab, or starting some coding project I likely won't finish!

Based in Barcelona. Check my LinkedIn and GitHub - I promise I'm real! Feel free to get in touch, or just leave a comment on a post, I read all of them.

ON AI:

All my writings in this blog are my own experiences, successes, and failures along my journey. I have a lot of notes in my Obsidian Vault which I would love to get out in the wild. AI helps me translate these notes, validate them and get them into the wild. Sometimes it's mostly my typing, sometimes AI. Most importantly all thoughts/opinions/experiences are mine, and are real. In the end it's better that these posts are out in the wild helping someone, rather than being locked up in my Vault/head, AI or not.
